A full day exploring Santiago. A beautiful, interesting and cosmopolitan city. We stayed in an apartment downtown in St Lucia. The picture below is us with our host Viktor on the terrace. He was a great host with lots of useful information about the city and some great stories.

Just a little church

Spanish influence to the architecture is very evident

Had a spectacularly great lunch a city gallery

The gallery was very inspiring with loads of great stuff for children to enjoy and be engaged

The presidential palace

The president provided Raine with her own personal sunshade

A big door

We went to one of the most interesting museums I have ever visited. Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombino in Santiago. Fascinating to see how many societies developed their cultures simultaneously yet remotely from each other

Beautiful ceramics

Wheels?

Grumpy

The main cathedral

Evening snack on the terrace

Sunset from our terrace

  1. Hi Guys. Hope you're enjoying the travels. Architecture looks pretty speccy :). Mum passed us your blog address. Makes a difference to see Llamas on the road rather than kangaroos. Good to see you again after all this time. If you're ever passing through Perth, let us know. Pieter & Pauline.
