A very early start to our day (2:45am) for our flight from Lima to La Paz, Bolivia.

The snow topped Andes

Coming in towards La Paz

Ready for the airport bus into La Paz  more like a small minibus with luggage flung on top.

The airport is at 4150 metres above sea level and we had to be careful moving around because of the effects of the high altitude.

The best way to get around La Paz is by a network of cable cars. Heights aren’t Raine’s favourite thing but soon got into the swing of it.

The views were astonishing from the cable car.

Coming in over the market

You could buy anything. It was a huge market.

Sugar cane ready to be crushed into a sweet drink.

Lots of ladies dressed in traditional clothes.

Discerning customers.

The views..

Growing much more confident with the cable cars.

Found the cutest, quirky cafe for coffee and cake. So lovely. The decor was delightful.

Still some old buses chugging up the hills.
