At the Geotel, Calama, Raine enjoyed a complementary Pisco sour before we settled for a good night’s sleep 

 

Calama is right in the middle of the desert and the barrenness of the landscape is evident from the airport 

Flying into Santiago we passed the highest mountain in the western hemisphere, Aconcagua
