The next day in Lima after a good sleep
Started the day with a big breakfast at a local cafe. The avocado was amazing and the yogurt, granola and fruit was so tasty.

The park was full of very well looked after cats.

Beautiful houses
Right in the heart of Lima is. Pyramid settlement dating from AD400. Fascinating place
A reconstruction of a human burial site at the pyramid. It included offerings to the ancient gods
The site also had gardens from the time when the settlement was active including cotton and quinoa

A large pot recovered from the site. The symbol on the pot was of a shark - a sacred creature to the people. The picture below shows the graphic representation of the shark used in their culture.

Lima was a fascinating and beautiful city and were glad to be coming back her at the end of our trip.
