After a restful overnight stay in San Rafael we set off to Malargue. Being the Codys we didn’t go the direct route on the highway but via a canyon and an overland dirt road. Although it took a lot longer it was really worth it. A fast flowing river where white water rafting took place up into the mountains to a series of lakes and dams that fed a hydroelectric system. The road and the high sierras were amazing. Loads of scrub and cacti - some in flower.
